I’m Salvatore “Sammy” Prato, proud owner of At Ease Inspections. I served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Squad Leader, where I deployed to Afghanistan and developed an unwavering commitment to attention to detail, precision, and leadership—qualities that continue to shape the standards of my inspection services today.
Currently, I serve as a firefighter/paramedic in the Chicagoland area, where my experience has further enhanced my expertise in life safety systems and structural integrity, giving me a unique perspective on identifying critical safety features within a home. I also have years of experience in construction and the trades, providing me with hands-on knowledge of how homes are built, maintained, and where issues are most commonly found.
As an Illinois Licensed and InterNACHI Certified Master Inspector (CMI®), I hold the highest professional designation in the home inspection industry, awarded only to inspectors who meet rigorous qualifications, including completing a minimum of 1,000 inspections or related hours of education, advanced training, and adherence to a strict code of ethics. This distinction reflects my extensive experience and unwavering commitment to delivering the highest level of service in the industry. I have also earned an abundance of additional certifications, further enhancing my expertise across various specialized inspection services to provide the most thorough and informed evaluations possible.
My inspections go well above and beyond Illinois’ minimum standards and often exceed InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice, ensuring a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of your property.
