A thermal imaging inspection, also known as an infrared inspection, is a specialized type of inspection that uses thermal imaging cameras to identify areas of a building that may have temperature differences, which could indicate issues with insulation, moisture, electrical problems, or other issues.

During a thermal imaging inspection, At Ease Inspections will use a Flir infrared camera to capture images of various areas of the building. These images show differences in temperature, which can help to identify areas where insulation is inadequate, moisture is present, or electrical components are overheating. The images may also reveal air leaks, which can cause energy loss and increase heating and cooling costs.

At Ease Inspections uses thermal imaging for a variety of purposes, such as identifying areas of a building that need insulation or weatherization improvements, detecting areas of moisture that could lead to mold growth, identifying electrical problems that could pose a fire hazard, or assessing the overall energy efficiency of a building.

This means that it’s an extremely dangerous gas, and any excessive presence of radon in your home could increase your risk of developing cancer, even if you don’t smoke. It is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, so the only way to detect its presence is through testing.

At Ease Inspections Radon testing is done using continuous radon monitors that measure the concentration of radon in the air every hour. At Ease Inspections utilizes the most advanced continuous radon monitors, a variety of different sensors, anti-tamper devices, battery backup and connection to LTE. After the 48 hour test we will generate your report and send it to you prior to picking up our monitors! We understand real estate transactions are a rapid process, we do everything we can to maintain your tight timeline. Based on the results we will recommend a further course of action for the home. By not having a radon test done, you’re running a high risk of having toxic levels of a cancer causing carcinogen in your home!

Sewer Scope

A sewer scope inspection is a type of plumbing inspection that involves inserting a small camera into a home’s sewer line to inspect for any issues or blockages, allowing the inspector to see the condition of the pipes and identify any potential problems.

During a sewer scope inspection, the inspector will look for signs of damage, such as cracks, corrosion, or blockages caused by tree roots, debris, or other obstructions. The inspector will also check for proper flow and drainage to ensure that the sewer line is functioning correctly. The results of the inspection can help homeowners determine if any repairs or maintenance are needed to ensure the proper functioning of their sewer system.

Mold Testing

At Ease Inspections is certified by the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants for radon and mold testing. At Ease Inspections mold testing process involves taking air sampling and surface sampling. The samples are then sent to a laboratory to be analyzed to determine the type and concentration of mold present. Mold testing can help identify potential health risks associated with mold exposure, and provide information necessary for effective mold remediation.

Air Quality Testing

Air quality testing refers to the process of analyzing the composition of indoor or outdoor air to determine if it contains any harmful pollutants or contaminants. The tests may include the measurement of various factors such as particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide, ozone, and other gases. Air quality testing can be conducted for a variety of reasons, such as to identify potential health risks associated with poor indoor air quality, to comply with environmental regulations, or to assess the effectiveness of air purification systems. At Ease Inspections offers an Advanced Indoor Air Quality Test using indoor air pumps that take samples of the air, the samples are then sent to a laboratory for analysis. Our Basic Indoor Air Quality Test uses two high-tech handheld monitors to monitor the air quality in the home!

Wood Destroying Insect/Termite Inspection

WDI/Termite Inspections are required on VA Loans- A wood-destroying insect/termite inspection is a specialized inspection of a property, typically conducted as part of the home buying or selling process. The inspection is designed to identify the presence of wood-destroying insects, such as termites, carpenter ants, beetles. At Ease Inspections will assess for any damage that may have been caused to the wooden structures of the property, such as the foundation, walls, floors, and roof. Both the interior and exterior of the property will be thoroughly checked for signs of insect activity or damage, such as mud tubes, wood damage, or live insects. We will also inspect any wooden structures on the property, such as fences, decks, and sheds.

The results of the inspection can be important for determining the overall condition of the property and can help buyers and sellers negotiate any necessary repairs or treatment for wood-destroying insects.

Water quality testing is generally required for VA and FHA loans if the home- A water quality test is a type of water quality testing that is typically conducted during a home inspection to determine the quality and safety of the drinking water supply in a home. At Ease Inspections will collect a water sample from the home’s drinking water supply, typically from the kitchen sink. The sample will then be sent to a laboratory for analysis, where it will be tested for a variety of contaminants, including bacteria, lead, nitrates, and other harmful substances. The results of the water quality test can provide valuable information for homeowners and potential homebuyers about the safety and quality of the drinking water supply in the home. If the test reveals any issues or concerns these concerns may be negotiated with the purchase of the home.
